Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC
The Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC administers land on behalf of the Gunditjmara people. The Gunditjmara’s ownership of the land was recognised in the Gunditjmara determination of March 2007.
This determination arose from two native title claims made in August 1996 and June 2006 respectively. These claims included Crown land and waters, including state forests, national parks, recreational reserves, river frontages and coastal foreshores.
Gunaikurnai Land & Waters Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC
The Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) was established in 2007 to prepare for the historic settlement between the Gunaikurnai people and the State of Victoria.
Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC
On 27 July 2011, the Federal Court of Australia determined that both the Eastern Maar and Gunditjmara Peoples are the native title holders over land roughly between the Shaw and Eumeralla Rivers and including Deen Maar (or Lady Julia Percy Island) which is of particular cultural significance to the Eastern Maar and Gunditjmara Peoples.
Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC
The Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (BGLCAC) administers land on behalf of the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk people of the Wimmera in Western Victoria. Their ownership was recognised by the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk Peoples No. 1 determination of March 2005.
This determination arose from three separate native title claims made between 1995 and 1999. These different claims were negotiated and settled between all 400 hundred parties. All parties agreed to recognise native title by:
