The Gangali Narra Widi Aboriginal Corporation is the trustee for Widi country. 

On 29 June 2016, Dowsett J made a determination that native title exists in some portion of the total 17,212 square kilometre area, which related to Widi country as well as Barada Barna Country. The area subject to the determination lies between the Denham and Peak Ranges to the west and the Connors and Broadsound Ranges to the east. The southern boundary mostly follows Lotus Creek and Connors River until joining the Isaac River. In that case, there was no doubt that the Barada Barna People were the traditional owners of most of the area in question. There was a dispute regarding the northern boundary of the Barada Barna country, which was resolved. Ultimately, the Barada Barna People’s traditional ownership was recognised, as was the boundary between the Barada Barna and Widi lands.

Court grants native title in Qld's Gulf country

The Federal Court has handed down a native title declaration for a tract of land near Burketown in Queensland's Gulf of Carpentaria. Exclusive rights have been given to the Gangalidda and Garawa people in the state's north-west. NB - This is VERY SHORT ARTICLE and this paragraph is almost the entire thing.
