On 25 June 2015, Mansfield J held that the Boonthamurra people have native title rights and interests in the determination area. The native title holders have non-exclusive rights to their land.

Following this, the Boonthamurra Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC was established to hold and manage the native title rights and interests of the Boonthamurra People. In this role, the corporation cares for country and their people. They engage with people who seek to do business on Boonthamurra Country. They incorporate traditional values and customs into a modern paradigm, and aim to advance the Boonthamurra Peoples’ cultural, social and economic aspirations.

The Boonthamurra Native Title Aboriginal Corporation is managed by a board of six volunteers.
