The Ilkewartn Ywel Aboriginal Corporation holds native title in trust for the benefit of the native title holders.  

The Ilkewartn Ywel Aboriginal Corporation was recognised as the nominated prescribed body corporate on 7 August 2009. On this date, Reeves J recognised the Ilkewartn and Ywel People’s native title rights and interests in parts of the determination area. The area subject to this determination is approximately 117,600 hectares of land located along the Stuart Highway approximately 15 kilometres south of Ti Tree and 130 kilometres northwest of Alice Springs, comprising the eastern half of the Pine Hill Pastoral Lease.
